Vals Rock is a series of rings made mostly of Vals gneiss, a rock composed of feldspar, quartz and mica. Vals is the name of a region in Switzerland where the rock is abundant and has been quarried since 1950.
As the ring is subjected to daily wear, its surface darkens changing its appearance like a landscape exposed to the elements over millions of years.
